Tamarraw

Our next topic is the Tamarraw. The Tamarraw is a type of a carabao called "Mindoro dwarf buffalo", it is a mammal belonging to the family Bovidae and is the only Phillipine endemic bovine, it endemic in the islands of Mindoro. It has a distinctive small hoofs.




It is belived that it once thrive in the regions Luzon, but because of human activities such as logging, hunting, and for building house has disappeared in the Luzon, it is originally found all over Mindoro, from sea level up to the mountains. The Tamarraw is now one of the most endangered species
